Registration and Policies

  1. A non- refundable registration fee of $25.00 per person/family must be paid upon registration to hold your space in class. Classes run from September to June the same as the school year. Registration commitment is for the entire season.
  1. Dance fees for the 2009/10 season will be paid in the following manner:
  2. If canceling classes, the administrator must be advised at least two weeks prior to the deposit of the next monthly cheque. The balance of the cheques will be returned. There will be NO reimbursement for classes not taken. There will be NO reimbursement of partial month of classes.
  3. All N.S.F. and returned cheques will have a service charge of $25.00.
  4. There will be NO refunds for missed classes and NO make-up classes except where the said class is cancelled by the studio.
  5. There will be a 5% late charge per month for ALL outstanding fees.
  6. There will be no refunds for cancelled classed due to severe weather conditions. We advise you to call the studio when there are severe weather conditions to see if classes have been cancelled.
  7. Please notify the office of any change in address or telephone number.
  8. Please call the studio if your child will be absent from class.
  1. IT WILL BE THE DIRECTORS’ DECISION AS TO WHICH STUDENTS WILL PARTICIPATE IN COMPETITION, EXAMS, PRODUCTIONS, ETC.
  2. Students leaving money or valuables in the dressing rooms do so at their own risk. We suggest not bringing valuables to the studio, as we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  3. It is now a Town of Vaughn By-Law that there is NO SMOKING anywhere in the studio.
  4. There will be no gum chewing or peanut products allowed in the studio or in class.
  5. There will be no jewelry allowed in class.
  6. Students must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class to warm up. Students who are more than 15 minutes late for class may not enter class without permission from the teacher. Please do not arrive late as this disrupts the class.
  7. Please conduct all business with either the administrator or the receptionist.
  8. Students must show respect to teachers and peers at all times.
  9. Students must not vandalize dressing room areas or studios. Anyone caught will be responsible for damages.
  10. Children who are not dancing may not be left unsupervised at the studio.
  11. Students should be picked up within 15 minutes from end of class time.
  12. Students ONLY are allowed in studios. Parents and friends are not permitted in studios.
  13. All students will participate in our Year End Show in June except Acro, Hip Hop, Dance in Your Pants & Adult Classes. Each student will need a costume that will cost approximately $125 - $150. The directors of the studio have the right to combine or cancel classes with less than 10 students. Rec costume deposits due on October 1st., and are 100% non refundable. If registering after October 1st then the deposit is due at time of Registration.
  14. All students must follow dress code. If teacher finds grooming and dress inappropriate for class, they will be asked to leave.
  15. All students should be aware of good grooming and hygiene.
  16. Please do not double park in front of studio. There will be no parking in front of furniture store beside the studio.
  17. All students should keep their bodies healthy!! Get proper rest, drink lots water per day, and eat healthy foods for injury prevention. Please keep our studio NUT FREE!!!
  18. It is the responsibility of the parent to make sure they are responsible in receiving all newsletters and information given out at the studio. Please check bulletin board and screen for any other information.
  19. All competitive companies will have to purchase a new PDA Flight suit and custom dancewear

Rules and Regulations
It is very important for you as parents to understand the importance of implementing a strict dress code in our programs. First of all, our studio prides itself on its professional environment. All dancers should look uniform for faculty to properly teach and correct students. Not only will it teach the children discipline, they will become responsible for their uniform, and take pride in the way they look. Baggy t-shirts and sweatpants become a lazy alternative to dancewear. Parents, please make it your priority to ensure your child has the proper dancewear and shoes for each class. Hair must always be neatly off the face in a ponytail or bun. Please use strong elastic bands and clips to keep it tidy.
The following is a list of shoes, dancewear and hair. Please note that where it says beige you may also wear black. Older dancers usually prefer black. Please note that for our show we will let you know if shoes may have to be dyed. Also, we recommend Bloch or Mondor brands, but you may substitute other brands.
