Are you interested in joining our competitive companies? Here’s how:

We will be scouting students during our SDI August 17 – 21. All dancers who would like to be on PDA’s Competitive Team are welcome to audition. We will be selecting enthusiastic, dedicated dancers to join our competitive companies.

If you are selected to be in a competitive team, this is what to expect:

- Dancing 2 to 3 days per week. Hours will increase as level increases. Dancers will dance in companies according to age and level. All classes are mandatory.
- One mandatory fall convention – Candance Toronto – November 7, 8 . All company dancers must attend and pay for workshop. No exceptions.
- In studio guest workshops. Guest teachers may be brought in for extra classes.
- In studio Ballet Exams if applicable
- In studio Jazz & Tap exams if applicable
- 3 – 4 Mandatory Competitions in April & May. Possibility of Nationals in July for some students. Usually we do two local competitions and one out of town (NY or Michigan).
- Entry fees and choreography fees
- 3 – 6 Mandatory competitive routines
- Costume deposits, the first deposit of $500.00 due by October 1st, the second deposit of $500.00 due by November 1st and is 100% non refundable. Competitive costumes cost are approximately $150.00 - $400.00 each.
- All Company dancers will require PDA flight suits and uniform
