Toronto, Canada (PRWEB), October 6, 2014 – Performing Dance Arts (www.PerformingDanceArts.ca), Toronto’s leading dance studio for children of all skill levels, is excited to announce its partnership with Armstrong Acting Studios.
“The history of Armstrong Acting Studios is just incredible,” says Ashley Daychak, artistic director at Performing Dance Arts. “They’ve helped launch the careers of entertainers like Miley Cyrus, Nina Dobrev, and Debby Brostic, to name just a few. Pairing their expertise with the students from our dance studio in Vaughan will be an amazing experience for everyone involved.”
Daychak says Performing Dance Arts will be hosting a one-day orientation on October 25, 2014, at its Woodbridge dance academy from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for all Performing Dance Arts dancers. The session will be led by Dean Armstrong, who will be teaching different on-camera audition techniques that have been successful with other actors who’ve come out of his acting studio.
“One great benefit for students from our dance studio in Vaughan working with Dean Armstrong is that he’s taught actors who came into his studio with no previous experience. And another thing he stresses is training his actors to book gigs so they get paid. That’s always been the focus of his studio.”
A headshot and a resume will be required for all participants. Since this is likely a new experience for most parents of the dancers from Performing Dance Arts, resources will be provided on how best to go about creating a headshot and resume.
The orientation session is for kids seven years of age and older. Tickets are $19 and parents or guardians may accompany any child under 18 without purchasing an additional ticket.
