Toronto, Canada (PRWEB), January 23, 2015 – Performing Dance Arts (www.PerformingDanceArts.ca), Toronto’s leading dance studio for children of all skill levels, is acknowledging recent guest choreographers who have led dance classes for the company.
Over the past few months, several renowned dancers have visited the dance studios at Performing Dance Arts as lead choreographers. Hani Abaza, Nick Lazarrini, and Denise Wall have all done their part to teach young dancers some of the moves they have learned. The trio have also spoken about their experiences as individuals who have enjoyed a high level of success in the industry.
“It’s enough just to have them teaching our students the moves and techniques they’ve learned over the years in whichever discipline they’ve made their careers,” says Ashley Daychak, creative director at Performing Dance Arts. “But having them present as examples of success and having the kids interact with them on and off the dance floor to share stories of obstacles and training and sacrifice are what provide the kind of invaluable lessons you get when bringing a group of great dancers into our studio.”
Daychak explains that Hani Abaza has performed for artists like Adele, Feist, and Kelly Clarkson and worked on projects like Cirque du Soleil and the MTV Video Music Awards. He currently travels between Toronto and Los Angeles as he continues to build his career. Nick Lazarrini is a former So You Think You Can Dance winner and was part of the cast of the movie Step Up Revolution. He’s received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Choreography and is trained in jazz, dance, hip hop, and ballet. Denise Wall has established her own Energy Dance Studio, which has sent kids on to both the American Ballet Theatre and Broadway.
“Imagine the wealth of experience we were able to expose our young dancers to by having these guest choreographers,” Daychak concludes. “It’s a blessing for kids to have these opportunities and Performing Dance Arts will continue to welcome successful dancers to our studio.”
Performing Dance Arts works with dancers of all levels, from casual to professional. Visit the web site at www.PerformingDanceArts.ca for more information on how children can become part of Performing Dance Arts’ team of young dancers.
