Toronto, Canada (PRWEB), March 31, 2014 – Performing Dance Arts (www.PerformingDanceArts.ca), Toronto’s leading dance studio for children of all skill levels, is proud to introduce their Super Hero Camp for boys.
“We realize that many boys may not want to learn to dance, but with the popularity of super heroes, the chance to dress up as a masked hero may just be that little bit of enticement parents need to sign their boys up for dance lessons,” says Ashley Daychak, artistic director at Performing Dance Arts. “At our Super Hero Camp, boys get to dress up in cool super hero costumes and live out their super hero fantasies while learning to dance.”
Performing Dance Arts realizes that boys might be reluctant to sign up for dance lessons, opting for team sports instead. But considering that super heroes are a hot commodity right now, with movies like The Avengers and the X-Men series making billions of dollars, and boys’ love of super heroes, Daychak and the staff at Performing Dance Arts saw a great opportunity to get boys interested in dance by combining it with something they are already interested in.
Dance is excellent exercise, and as Daychak explains, by playing a super hero, your child won’t even realize that they are getting exercise while living out their super hero fantasy. It’s also a great chance to get your child’s creative juices flowing, something that will serve them well later in life.
“Super heroes have enduring popularity, as does dance. By combining the two, we offer our students a truly unique experience. After all, what boy hasn’t dreamed of being Iron Man or Batman?” Daychak adds. “At our Super Hero Camp, we give boys a chance to become the hero they’ve always dreamed of being. Taking on a secret identity also helps to build confidence; if their super hero persona can dance in front of other children and an audience, it will do wonders for their self-esteem.”
Super heroes are traditionally portrayed as being calm, cool, and collected under pressure. Daychak concludes that when your child attends Performing Dance Arts’ Super Hero Camp, that sense of confidence will rub off on them.
