TRAINING CLINICS WITH PDA

July 6th & 7th
4:30 pm – 6:30 pm

TURNING CLINIC

  • During this clinic our focus will be on a variety of exercises that will provide the dancers with a stronger foundation to allow them to properly execute turns.
  • The material will range in level as we will give each dancer what they need according to their age and ability.
  • By the end of the clinic the dancer should have a better understand of placement and how to coordinate turns with a high level of efficiency.
  • For our more advanced dancers, we will provide them with different variations that can be used when doing improv or auditioning.

July 13th & 14th
4:30 pm – 6:30 pm

LEGS & EXTENSION CLINIC

  • During this clinic our focus will be on flexibility and strength.
  • We will be working on exercises that will support the dancer’s ability to be able to balance while holding leg extensions, develop a better understanding of how to properly execute leg work and extension.
  • The material will range in level as we will give each dancer what they need according to their age and ability.
  • We will provide the dancers with different variations that will incorporate interesting transitions and creating pretty shapes and pictures with a variety of different legs & extension positions.
  • These variations will be helpful when doing improv as well as auditioning.

July 20th & 21st
4:30 pm – 6:30 pm

JUMPS

  • During this clinic we will focus on a variety of Jumps.
  • We will give the dancers the tools necessary to execute jumps, while preventing injury and protecting their bodies.
  • The material will range in level as we will give each dancer what they need according to their age and ability.
  • We will work on basic jumps that will develop and support their strength as well as teach the dancers new jumps and jump sequences.
  • We will be working on developing a strong understanding of how to enter into Jumps as well as our how to properly exit out of Jumps.
  • We will provide the dancers with different ways to incorporate Jumps into their improv.
